We are Conker Class and our teacher is Miss Critchley.
Here in Early Years, we are building the foundations for a lifetime of learning. Throughout the year, we will share our wonderful learning with you.

Diwali - The festival of light!
Conker Class have enjoyed celebrating Diwali. The story of Rama and Sita was shared and we looked at how people celebrate Diawli at home. The children enjoyed making Divas (candle holders) from clay and they also made Rangoli patterns.
Children in Need
We took part in 'The Big Spotacular' and raised money for Children in Need. We also went on a Pudsey Teddy Bear hunt. We searched all over the school and found him hiding underneath the sofa in the main entrance!
"The rule would be this: whatever he saw, if it was runny or powdery or gooey, it went in." George's Marvellous Medicine
We've been listening to the story of George's Marvellous Medicine and decided to make our own medicine. Take a look at what we put in!
"As he stirred and stirred, many wonderful colours rose up from the depths and blended together." George's Marvellous Medicine
Colour Mixing Mystery! We had to figure out which cup had yellow food colouring hidden under the bicarbonate of soda and which had red.
Happy Birthday Roald Dahl!
To celebrate Roald Dahl's birthday, we made cakes for a tea party and played some party games.
How clean are your teeth?
We used eggs to find out what happens to our teeth if we drink to much cola. We then put our brushing skills to the test!
