Each term we have a class book which is the basis for our reading, writing, punctuation and grammar. Every pupil has their own copy of the book to study which they take home at the end of term!

For the first two weeks of Autumn 1 we found rhyming words from Roald Dahl's 'Revolting Rhymes'. Then we  read, acted out, re-told and wrote from 'The Dark' by Lemony Snickett. In Autumn 2 we read a non-fiction text 'A Day in the Life: Seal' to accompany our visit to Donna Nook.

In the Spring term we read 'Prince Cinders' by Babette Cole as an alternative to the traditional tales we will enjoy listening to. In Spring 2 we enjoyed 'The Disgusting Sandwich' as part of our food theme.

During Summer 1 we will read 'Where The Wild Things Are'.
