Spellings

Each week, Year Six will be given 10 spellings which follow a particular rule to practise and learn. As well as this, there will also be 2 wild card spellings from the Year 5/6 spelling list which can be downloaded below.

Children will be tested on these spellings every Friday. Also, children will have a dictation passage to complete which will focus on the previous half term spellings.

Hyphenated compound adjectives. When two adjectives are used to make one adjective, we use a hyphen to join them:
